Taipei, Taiwan

Hello everyone,

I just had a great trip and now waiting to get back home via ferry @ Hong Kong airport.

This time I went to Taipei, Taiwan, a place I have been to many times before, but only the airport for transfer to other countries. This time I really step out of the airport. I feel good!

Taipei is the capital city of Taiwan where I believe is part of China and will be reunion to China in the future. So the culture there is very Chinese but at the same time as the Japanese colonized history effect makes it has lots of Japanese culture style also. Taiwanese is very polite, friendly and their Mandarin accent sounds so nice and smooth. This is so different to Chinese!! Most of Chinese is so loud!

I didn't expect to be Taiwan this early as nothing attracted me before but heard so much good things (good food, good scenic, lots of good activities....) about Taiwan made this trip happened!

Ok. I will update this trip ASAP.

Have a nice day everyone!

Nations in Bloom

Hi everyone,

I like flowers and my favorite flower is Hibicus and Frangipani (Dok Champa/Plumeria)

When I was on the plane, I found this topic on a magazine is really good. "More than just pretty plants, flowers are scented symbols with stories of their own. Here we explore the fascinating symbolism behind national flowers from some of the countries."

Sorry to tell you this but I really did it. I stole this several pages from the magazine!!!!! Please don't blame me as I really wanna keep it!!!!

Hope you find these beautiful flowers meaningful!!

Bangkok fun

Hi everyone,

I had a friend's bday party in BKK. Yes I think it's just a excuse for me visiting Thailand again. Yes, I love Thailand......

It was a nice weekend and I explored some nice restaurant, hung out with friends and watched Iron Man 3 in 4D @ Siam Paragon, Bangkok. The 4D cinema is really new and comfortable. It got some light, smell, water and movement effect. It's really good match for a action movie like Iron Man!!!

Still so much to explore in Thailand and I am going again soon!! Will keep you guys post!!

Have a nice weekend!

Iron Man 3 in 3D?! No, 4D is better!

Have to get this Iron Man cup as it makes me happy with the popcorn while enjoying the movie!

Try this new restaurant @ BTS Ari

All dinning tables in this restaurant were sewing machines before, so now it's fun to do some exercise while dinning!
I like this coconut chicken soup!!
The grilled chicken is the most famous of this restaurant. The chicken is so juicy and smooth. Yum!
A street vender doing this small wrap, with onion, lime, peanut, dried coconut and coconut sugar with fresh leave!

First try and I do really like it! As I am a big fan of coconut and also this wrap is so refreshing! I did come back and wanted to get some wraps again but I missed it! Hope I can find it somewhere next time!
Pool party and got some tan!
Party is ON!!

I am not a smoker but it's fun to do it once in a while. I mean my friends not me!
Also this weed...
Homemade Thai style summer roll.
It tastes so good! with mushroom, chicken and rice noodles...

Thai funeral

Hello everyone!

I was in Bangkok, Thailand last week. The weather was awesome and I was so happy for the sunny spirit as here has been raining for 2 months already.

I did have a chance to attend a Thai funeral during that trip and it's a great experience. I am surprise that they had a photographer for the whole process, took pic for guests and there's even a MC!!!!! it's so different to our Chinese traditional as we won't take pics during the funeral. Also they will burn the dead body right away.

It's very good experience for me about Thai culture.

Have a good weekend!

Incheon, Korea

Hello everyone!!!!!

I miss all you guys!! I am back finally!

My Korea trip post finally. It's a short trip but I did have fun. I only been to Incheon this time in Nov 2012!!!!!! I know half a year already!!!!!!

Korea is such a nice country. They have good food and friendly people. I like their entertainment industry. You can see all the celebrities images around everywhere, TV, newspaper, cosmetics shops, shopping malls....and also Korean seem to have pretty good healthy lifestyle to take well care of themselves. Healthy food and tons of different kinds of cosmetics products. If you love your beauty, you def should come visit as here is so many specific places for you to enhance your beauty!

Surprisingly is plastic surgery is so common here, many hospitals and clinics are opened doors for that and even people are talking about plastic surgery normally as a daily topic! I even saw several times some girls still with the mask on after the plastic surgery, nose, eyes or anything on their face, shopping around in the tourists spots!!!!!! oh well...I totally understand why Korea is known for this now....and i found something funny...actually i hardly remember a certain Korean face as they almost look the same....ha ha ha!! I mean in a good way, good skin and chic look.

Thanks Korea gives me a good trip. I will come back again!!!

Have a good day everyone!

Hello Incheon, South Korea!! It only take 2hrs and 50mins to Incheon from Hong Kong by plane.
this time i stayed at Skypark 2 hotel which was right in the heart of Myeongdong. So it was very easy to go shopping and go back to the hotel. It is also very close to Euljiro 1ga subway station and once you find your way it's very easy to get to and from the subway. From the subway you can go anywhere really.
I think its a must try food in Myeong Dong street food. It made of a whole potato and deep fired right after being cut. Eat before adding some spice on it. Its enjoy hot food under the cold weather but it's little bit too oily to me.
How can they make this ice cream so long? secret is make it HARD as ice by adding less milk, so it tastes like sorbet.
I was captured how I look while shopping. I think i was too into the shoes! Haha it's girls' things!!
smoking area outside my hotel.
Table setting of Korean BBQ
All korean BBQ restaurant has these range hoods for vacum the smoke. the design is really smart as u can pull down and up the range hood.
You are served for many different kinds of kim chi before your order food. It's free and can refill many times. This time I had korean stone rice and cold noodles.

This cold noodles is served with ice. The soup is cold beef soup and they even iced the beef as well. It's a special try!
Neighborhood of Ewha Womans University. Many street vendors selling different local food. the one behind me is bbq.

The yellow leaves is everywhere and makes the place so beautiful. This pic is my fav!
I love the flowers.

Psy is everywhere! He is so popular!

korean food, dumplings, squid pancakes, kimchi...

There are so many different kinds of kimchi. I just like it!

Gingseng chicken soup. My body get warm after having this. There is sticky rice and Gingseng inside the chicken and the soup is full of chicken and gingseng favor. It's one of the most popular Korean dishes.

I did enjoy the food!

When it rains, it gets colder!
These people must be too tried for shopping. I bet they are from mainland china! I'm sorry i am chinese too but this is just too funny to sleep like that in public. Please don't do it in public after seeing this, ok?

I like my legging, shoes and my nails

Probably craving for curry! It's japanese brunch in Korea, cocoichiban.

This waffle is killing me, i can't stop eating. full of butter favor.
This restaurant is very popular for the Gingseng chicken soup

only have 3 opinions with different price and different Gingseng. I picked the middle price one.

Homemade kimchi. I always won't miss trying different kimchi

look at the texture of the soup!!! it's so thick and white. soooo full of gingseng and chicken favor and they also put some sunflower seed on top so the texture is so good.
After having this soup, i am super full and my whole body is warm and even my face turn red. This makes me believe in how powerful of gingseng. i got myself some gingseng drinks from Korea after coming back home.

Traditional Korean style restaurant. dine on the floor.
Time for shopping for souvenirs.

Oops! Is it too much? nvm my luggages is always overweight! I like shopping for fresh local food.

this banana milk is my fav. can get it eveywhere in korea, supermarket, 7-11...
